Umberslade Farm Trip – Cancelled

As you are aware reception class were due to visit Umberslade Farm on Monday 11th June for an educational visit.

Following the flood and relocation of children and staff to various other schools, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel this visit. The temporary relocation of staff has meant that there is now a shortage of adults to accompany the children on this visit.

Many thanks for your continued support

Mrs Harman and Mrs Mason

Hunting mini beasts.

We have been hunting mini beasts in the reception outdoor garden area. So far we have seen butterflies, caterpillars, toads, snails and ladybirds.

Enabling Enterprise

This week in reception we have been learning about caring for planet. We’ve shared our ideas about recycling and how we can help. We made a model of a robot using recycling materials an we’ve designed and made a poster showing the things that can be recycled and changed into something else and used again. And we have made a chart to show how we travel to school.

Sports Relief

Today for Sports Relief the children represented an array of different sports . We shared our ideas about the different sports we were representing and the good causes that the contributions made will support. We participated in some sporting activities which the children really enjoyed. Thanks to everyone for their contributions.

Welcome back

Mrs Harman is still absent due to ill health and sends her best wishes to the class. Ms Grant will continue to work with the children in her absence.  As you are aware, parents evening was postponed and has now been cancelled. If you have any queries with regards to your child’s progress please do not hesitate to come and speak to the Reception staff.

Many thanks for your continued support.
