Our focus for Black History Month has been in the area of Science. This afternoon, we have been researching the inspirational, Katherine Johnson, and other members of her team. Katherine was a mathematician and one of the first Black women to work at NASA as a scientist. Her calculations were essential to some of the first human spaceflights.

Children could carry on their research at home/ produce a document to share with their peers. https://www.nasa.gov/subject/13465/black-history-month/
